i'm sorry mom

JaeJoong slowly opened the door and walked in. He didn't hear anything or anyone in the living room and thought that if he ran up to his room no one would catch him. He slipped his shoes off and started to run.

"You!" a strong husky voice boomed from the corner of the living room."Father," JaeJoong gulped.

"Where did you go?" a tall muscular body came out of the shadows.

"I went to see ChangMin," he replied.

"You went to play with your friend when you were already in trouble?" his voice was very loud and clear.

"I went to help him pack for his trip," JaeJoong answered.

"You! You got in trouble at school and then you ran away from your mom and you come home this late? When you're under punishment you don't get to see your friend! You know that!" His father yelled.

JaeJoong stood quietly as his father scolded him. Finally his mom came out of her room and tug onto her husband's arm.

"Honey, JaeJoong was worried about ChangMin so he went to see him. There is no need to yell at him for that," she explained.

"Why can I not yell at my own son? When he does something wrong you always back him up that is why he's so stubborn!" he started to yell at his own wife now.

"It's not mom's fault. Please don't yell at her," JaeJoong interrupted.

"Yah! How can you tell me who not to yell at? You're the one in trouble. Don't try to take responsibility of other people when you can't take care of yourself," his dad yelled louder.

By this time all of JaeJoong's sisters and brother were eavesdropping by the stairway.

"Honey, we can talk about this tomorrow. Let JaeJoong clean up and eat something first. And you need to get some sleep too, you're drunk," the wife tried to calm her husband down.

"I'm not drunk!" he yelled. "I'm just trying to teach my son!"

"I asked you not to yell at mom!" JaeJoong repeated.

"Yah! You! What did you say?" his day raised his right hand up.

The wife seeing that her husband was going to hit JaeJoong caught her husbands arm, "Honey, you're drunk. Let's just talk about this tomorrow."

At that moment the husband swung his arm backwards and the wife fell backwards into the wall.
"Mom!" JaeJoong yelled and ran over to his mother.

The father stood frozen in his track. What had he done? He's never ever hurt his wife before. And now she's on the floor, hurt from his own hands.

"How could you do this to mom?" JaeJoong yelled.

"Don't you dare talk to me in that tone!" the dad screamed.

"I'm alright," the mom said as she stood up with JaeJoong's help.

"Mom," JaeJoong said as he took his mother over to the mat by the tv.

"JaeJoong-ah, don't be angry. Your dad is frustrated because he lost his job today. Please just apologize to him," his mom pleaded.

JaeJoong stood up and went to his father. "Apologize to mom right now," he demanded.

The father's eyes became red as JaeJoong uttered those words.

"For the last 12 years, I've fed you and clothed you! How dare you use that tone with me!" his father was screaming at the top of his lungs. "When you can earn your own money, feed, and clothe the rest of the family then I'll let you give me orders! But for now, you live under my roof! You have to listen to me!"

JaeJoong clenched his fists. If this man wasn't his father he would of had killed him for hurting his mom.

"Honey.... JaeJoong-ah," the woman from the mat called to her husband and son.

"Fine! I'll go out and earn my own money! When I come back with money then you have to go on your knees and apologize to mom!" JaeJoong yelled. He grabbed his shoes and ran out of the house.

"JaeJoong!" his mother called after him. She got up and ran to the door but Jaejoong had already disappeared into the dark.

JaeJoong ran and ran. He didn't know where he was going but he just had to run. His legs just kept moving. After 30 minutes he was able to control his legs again and came to a stop. Breathing heavily he collapsed onto the grass. He layed there for a good 5 minutes before he was able to pull himself back up.

He finally realized that he had been running without his shoes. His shoes still in his right hand. He dropped them to the grass and put his feet in. He looked around and realized he was under a bridge by the train station. What was he going to do? He just ran away from home!

The wind started to blow and goosebumps took over his body. He looked around again and saw that the nearest shelter was the train cargo. He ran to the train cargo and jumped in. There were boxes piled up all around. He made his way towards the back where the wind couldn't reach him. He sat down and tried to sort things out in his head.

Then all of a sudden he felt streams of hot liquid running down from his eyes. Tears! He was crying! He hadn't cried the whole time his father was yelling at him, but now that he's starting to understand what had happened he was crying. If he hadn't gotten into trouble his dad wouldn't hurt his mom. JaeJoong cried and blamed himself for what had happened.

"Ouch!" JaeJoong yelled as a heavy object fell onto his legs. He opened his eyes but couldn't see much. Where was he? And what was that awful loud noise? JaeJoong rubbed his eyes open and started to look carefully around. Boxes all over the place. "Oh my! I'm in a train cargo!" he thought. He stood up and went over to the door and pulled it open. The bright sun hit him in the eyes and JaeJoong fell backwards. It took him a few seconds to adjust to the bright light. Finally he was able to look out. His eyes nearly popped out once he took in the scene. In front of him laid a sea of tall and huge buildings. He was not in Gongju anymore.
